ASME SB111 SB 466 C70600 Pipe | EEMUA 234 UNS 7060X Copper Nickel Alloy, prevents against seawater corrosion, high anti-fouling properties against sea microorganism. Widely applied to offshore and related industries such as ship-building & repairing, petrochemical, natural gas and so on. C70600 Copper Nickel Tubes / Copper-Nickel 90/10 Seamless Pipe have good corrosion resistance, especially in sea water.
UNS C70600 copper nickel alloy are annealed at temperatures between 593 and 816°C (1100 and 1500°F). UNS C70600 copper nickel alloys have good cold working capacity. Suitable for high temperature service.
UNS C70600 copper nickel alloys are used in areas where stainless steel cannot be used due to chloride stress-corrosion cracking (CSCC) and in other parts requiring high levels of corrosion resistance. These alloys are also used as machined and forged valve and pump parts that are utilized for seawater services. The C70600 (90/10) copper nickel alloys have great resistance to sea water corrosion due to the presence of significant amounts of manganese and iron. Applicable for condenser for ship, copper nickel alloy Copper 90/10 and copper nickel alloy Copper 70/30 are for sea water condenser systems, heat and water supply, chemical industry, desalinator etc.
Copper Alloy UNS C70600 and C71500 are seamless Copper Nickel Alloy Tubes of standard specifications for Water Desalting Plants.
C70600 and C71500 alloys, however, are readily welded by most common methods. Consumables of the C71500 alloy should be used to weld both alloys. For welding copper-nickel to steel, 65% nickel-copper alloy consumables should be used as they can tolerate more iron dilution from the steel than the C71500 copper-nickel alloy consumables.
