Corrosion Resistance：
Incoloy 825 alloy is a versatile engineering alloy with resistance to acid and alkali metal corrosion in both oxidising and reducing environments. The high nickel content gives the alloy effective resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The corrosion resistance is good in a variety of media such as sulphuric, phosphoric, nitric and organic acids, alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solutions. 825 alloy's high overall performance is demonstrated in corrosive media as diverse as nuclear combustion dissolvers such as sulphuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide are all handled in the same equipment. Incoloy 825 alloy is resistant to boiling sulphuric acid at concentrations up to 40 % and to all concentrations of sulphuric acid up to 60 % at temperatures up to 80°C and up to 66°C. INCOLOY 825 has very good corrosion resistance to phosphoric acid, etc. It has good resistance to solutions containing chlorides, pitting in seawater and stress corrosion. In addition, it has good resistance to intergranular corrosion.
