Physical Properties:
2205 Duplex Steel Density: 7.98g/cm3
Melting Point: 1300-1390 ℃
Magnetism: None
Mechanical Properties:
Tensile Strength: σb ≥ 795Mpa,
Yield Strength: σb ≥ 550Mpa
Elongation: δ ≥ 15%
Hardness: ≤ 310 (HB)
Corrosion Resistance:
2205 duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy compared with 316L and 317L austenitic stainless steel, 2205 alloy in the resistance to spot and crevice corrosion is superior, it has a high resistance to corrosion, compared with austenitic, it has a lower coefficient of thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity. Duplex 2205 alloy has twice the compressive strength compared to austenitic stainless steels and allows designers to reduce its weight compared to 316L and 317L. 2205 alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -50°F/+600°F temperature range and, where strictly limited (especially for welded structures), also at lower temperatures.
Application:
Oil and gas industry equipment; offshore platforms, heat exchangers, underwater equipment, fire-fighting equipment; chemical processing industry, vessel and pipeline industry; desalination, high pressure RO equipment and subsea pipelines; energy industry such as power plant desulphurisation and denitrification FGD systems, industrial scrubbing systems, absorption towers; mechanical components (high strength, corrosion resistant, wear resistant components)
Matching Welding Consumables:
ER2209 wire and E2209 electrode for the welding of 2205 duplex steel
Supply Style:
Plate, strip, bar, wire, forgings, light bars, welding consumables, flanges, etc., according to the drawing
